Create a MAT account
My Alabama Taxes (MAT) is the Alabama Department of Revenue's online service. With an account you can file and pay state taxes, see letters from the department and check an Alabama refund. On the My Alabama Taxes page, choose Create a My Alabama Taxes Account.

Where's My Refund is the IRS tool for your federal refund. Have your Social Security number, filing status and the exact refund amount from your return ready. For an Alabama refund, open My Alabama Taxes and choose Where's My Refund.

Bills from the Alabama Department of Revenue (ALDOR) can be paid through My Alabama Taxes: on its page, under Payments, choose Pay a Bill I've Received from ALDOR. If a letter does not make sense, call us before you pay and we will look at it with you.

How do I check the status of my refund?
For a federal refund, use the IRS Where's My Refund tool at irs.gov/refunds. For Alabama, use My Alabama Taxes (myalabamataxes.alabama.gov). Our MyAlabama.GOV page has both links.
How do I pay a bill I received from the Alabama Department of Revenue?
